This week I finished reading The Regime by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins. It is the second book in the prequel to the Left Behind Series. I had thought there were three books, but it seems like only two. I'll have to look into that and see if there is or isn't another one.
However, I must say, I enjoyed this book (and the previous one) a great deal. Although it was written by the same authors, I found these ones to be better written. I don't know why. As with the Left Behind Series, I found that I wanted to keep reading - to not put the book down (though I had to). I was anxious to find out what was going to happen, even though, ultimately, I knew the results.
One of the books I got at Christmas was The Dead Whisper On by T. L. Hines. I had read his other book, Waking Lazarus, and I enjoyed it. After reading the blurb on the back of The Dead Whisper On, I wanted to read it as well. I am only on chapter four at the moment, but so far it's a good book - quite suspenseful.
In writing news, I haven't been working on that at all. It's a shame. I thought once I was finished with home work I would be working on my writing. I have time now...but I've been tired after I get home from my intern position. You can read more about my teaching internship on my blog, Confirm The Work of Our Hands.
I guess I need to sit down and read over what I've written so far. Maybe that will spark some creativity and give me some ideas about what to write. I think I am still in a writing slump. However, I am not giving up on writing. I just need some creativity, some ideas. Maybe I'll try one of those idea generators to start the creative process again...
What do you do when you get in a creative slump? How do you overcome it?
