Poem Number 2

Ok, I realize I'm not the best poet, but hey, I'm just starting out. Here's the second poem I've been working on lately.

Ruby-Throated Hummingbird

Tiny wonder
Hovering, drifting, from bloom to bloom
Seeking nectar in a graceful dance
Forward, backward, up and down

Sunlight glinting on a ruby throat
Sparkling like a costly gem
You, too, have opulence
In the garden

Wings pulsating in a blur
Giving you your precious name
Vibrating a melodious tune
With unknown words

Pausing from your liquid feast
You listen and you watch
In a flash, melding green white and red
You are gone
